Sophia and James’ wedding 8.25.12
I met Sophia at Thi and Eric’s wedding, she was 1 of Thi’s 10 bridesmaids. When Sophia contacted me to coordinate her wedding, I was very happy for her upcoming nuptials and it’s always good to see faces from previous weddings.

James and Sophia got ready at their house in different rooms. I have to say, Sophia’s parents house and her house are AMAZING!
All hair pieces, boutonnieres are handmade by James’ amazing sister Kelly. If you are interested in any handmade items for your wedding, click here.

Trinity and David’s wedding 5.26.12
Trinity and David live in Arizona and had their wedding in OC because all of their family and friends are here. Trinity and I hit up instantly on our first consultation, which is always a good sign.
They are by far the nicest couple that KDWP had worked with (yes, I say that about all my couples but truly, I have been blessed with the best bride and groom EVER!!!). I didn’t get to meet David until a month prior to their wedding but I absolutely understand why Trinity fell in love with him. He is such a sweetheart and is super funny! Trinity is a beautiful person inside and out and it wasn’t hard for David to fall in love with her either.
Since their wedding was 1 month prior to my due date, Trinity and David took such good care of me. They went to McDonald’s and got me hamburger! I remember Trinity came up to me with a hamburger and told me “please feed my baby, you are working too hard” and David gently (forcefully) sat me down on a chair and make sure that I ate. I mean….how can I not love these 2!!! Because of my pregnancy, their wedding was the 1st wedding where KDWP has decided to expand and take on interns.
David’s smile is contagious. You can’t help but smile too
Beautiful couple!
David surprised Trinity with a dance! It was hilarious!
Trinity and David, we are so glad that we got to be a part of your wedding. It was truly a day to remember and it was so much fun! KDWP wishes all the best of all the years to come. Also, congrats on your new home!!!

Eva and Jason’s wedding 8.11.12
Jason is my husband’s cousin and when Eva and Jason approached me to help with the wedding, I was more than happy because that’s what family do. I suggested the Bowers Museum to them as they were looking for venues. After a site visit, they fell in love with it and decided to book it.
As a family member, I was a guest more than the coordinator but I couldn’t help running around making sure everything went OK while the family kept telling me to enjoy the party. It is also a bit more nerve-wracking working on a family wedding because your work is more scrutinized. However, seeing all the in-law family again is always fun as it feels more like a big party/get-together than a wedding.
It is at Eva and Jason’s wedding that KDWP’s mascot (aka. Riley) made an appearance. He was a total hit!
Yellow is such a good color to have for a summer wedding. It is so vibrant, you can’t help being happy around that color.
Beautiful Eva getting ready…

I absolutely love the Bowers Museum. It is such a beautiful place!

Michelle and John’s wedding 7.21.12
Michelle is another friend of my little sister. I’ve always known her as Thao and seeing her getting married just shows how time flies. These little girls that I’ve known for decades are now full grown women who are getting married. It’s quite bittersweet for me. Seeing how John adores Michelle, I knew she was in good hands.

I absolutely love Michelle’s Ao Dai….the long train is to die for!
Stunning hair and makeup by Katie B.
Presentation of the bride to the family.

Michelle and John had a 2nd Tea Ceremony where the groom brings the bride home to his family.
This was such a touching moment. John and Michelle were able to Skype with John’s brother who is stationed overseas. He was able to follow the whole tea ceremony.
After the Tea Ceremony, Michelle went back home to change into her wedding gown.
Their invitation was so fancy! The velvet texture was a nice touch.

There is something very serene about this picture.
St. Callistus Catholic Church has a special place in my heart.
Congratulations Michelle and John!

Tiffany and Tam’s wedding 7.7.12
I was a bit worried that baby Riley was going to be late since my due date was 1 week prior to Tiffany and Tam’s wedding. I scheduled a couple of back ups just in case I was in labor on their wedding date but Thank God, Baby Riley arrived on time. It was a little difficult for me since I was still in pain and Riley was just 1 week old but nothing was going to stop KDWP!
Tiffany is my sister’s friend so I’ve known her since she was a little girl! When she approached me to coordinate her wedding, I felt very very old. I mean in my eyes, she was still this little girl that was hanging out with my sister and she is now getting married!! Tiffany planned the whole wedding on her own (with a little bit of my help) since Tam is in Texas. She truly did an amazing job!

Congratulations Tiffany and Tam!

After the ceremony, the bridal party headed to The Lab in Costa Mesa for portraits.

I think it says a lot when a groom helps his bride out…for some reason, those are my favorite shots as it shows true love.

Tiffany and Tam! Thank you so much for trusting me and allowing my team and I to be part of your wedding day. I am so proud of you Tiffany for becoming the woman that you are today. We wish you all the best! KDWP and team are so excited that you will soon be parents!!! I guess the baby making path does work

KDWP behind the scene…
I remember being in great pain here and worried about how the baby was doing at home but I wasn’t going to let that stop me from working the wedding. I am one stubborn, determined person.

The bride and me!

Love these girls! Thank God they were there and ordered me to sit down…lol..

Winter Brides
Since the weather has been colder and we’re moving into Winter, I thought this is the perfect time for this blog. Towards the end of last year and the beginning of this year, Thao Vu of Thao Vu Photography approached me about coordinating a shoot for Winter Bride trash the dress. Basically a group of married girlfriends will get together and wear their wedding gown 1 more time. I thought that was such a great and cute idea so I jumped at the opportunity. So within a month or so, we started the ball rolling by collecting ideas, discussing our vision and all came to fruition.
The photoshoot was so much fun as the husband were also there…mainly to keep the ladies warm or hold their shoes.
They were a great big help in carrying the props too.
The location that Thao found was fantastic, it was such a beautiful place and so fitting for this particular shoot.
The wedding gowns.
Each beautiful ladies had their personalized hanger.
Such a beautiful group of girlfriends!
A little tea party in the snow…
The girls were so brave facing the cold and posing at the same time.
Nga’s Louboutin shoes were gifted by her husband on their wedding day…*swoon*
I LOVE LOVE LOVE all the bouquets! They were each so unique, which were definitely fitting for the shoot.
Wedding invitations from their wedding.
Anne is so cute! She loves to jump too
Now the details…
I remember going up on a ladder and hanging the yellow pom poms at 4 months pregnant
Before the shoot, the husband and I walked around in parks and picked up pine cones
