Happy 1 year Anniversary Kathy and Paul!
Jennifer and Chung’s wedding was the 4th wedding out of 5 weddings back to back. Jennifer contacted me about a year and a half prior to her wedding, she loves Snoopy and wanted to get married at Knott’s Berry Farm so Snoopy could be part of their wedding day. Since Jennifer and Chung were stationed in Japan (they are both dentists in the military), they needed someone in Orange County to visit the location, meet with clients etc…and I was the person they entrusted me with. I was surprised that KDWP name traveled all the way to Japan and I am glad that I got to meet Jennifer and Chung. They are a lovely couple who definitely is loved by their family and friends.
Jennifer and Chung were already married in Japan but they wanted to renew their commitment in front of all their friends and family.
Snoopy made the Grand Entrance with the Bride and Groom
He is one popular guy!
Jennifer and Chung, thank you so much for having KDWP work your festive wedding. It was a lot of fun seeing how everything came together after a year of planning the whole event. We wish you all the best in the future and a lifetime of happiness.
I helped Snoopy put his tuxedo on and tuck his ears inside his hat. Such a sweet sweet dog

1st post of the year 2014. Happy New Year Everyone! Each year, I make the resolution to blog quicker but with a full time job and a toddler who requests your attention all the time, it’s a challenge. Just getting a little bit of time to blog is precious to me.
Hieu and Hung live in the Bay area and booked my services about a year prior to their wedding. They saw my name on photographers’ blog and decided to contact me. Since most of Hung’s family live in Orange County, they decided to have their wedding here. When we first met, I thought they were the nicest, most down to earth couple that I’ve met. Hieu was very organized and knew exactly what she wanted for the wedding, it was such a pleasure working with her. While working their wedding, you can see how their family and friend’s adore them. Hieu and Hung’s wedding marks # 3 of 5 weddings back to back. Excited to have had the chance to work with Lin and Jirsa Photography, they captured the whole wedding beautifully.
Hung and his groomsmen before heading to the tea ceremony.
Custom made boutonniere for the Groomsmen and bouquet for the Bridesmaids.
The tea ceremony was very traditional. Hieu opted to wear a very traditional Ao Dai instead of a more modern one.
Their awesome ride for the day.
For the Church Ceremony, Hieu and Hung went with a Vietnamese tradition where the bride and groom walk down the aisle together.
Adorable flower girl and ring bearer.
Married!!! Congratulations Hieu and Hung!
En route for some wedding party portraits.
In love with the next few photos of Hieu and Hung at sunset!
Hieu and Hung’s custom made ice luge.
Moon cake (Banh Trung Thu) money box.
Groom’s cake for Hung from his wife, his favorite food is pizza
Since Hieu and Hung’s wedding was during the Autumn Festival, their party favor was a moon cake.
Hieu’s sister was the cutest! She’s a Buddhist nun. Very funny and helpful too.
Father Daughter dance. The look on Hieu’s face shows a daughter’s love for her father.
Mother and Son’s dance.
And they lived happily ever after…
Hieu and Hung, thank you very much for being such an awesome couple. It was a delight being part of your joyful wedding. Everything was absolutely beautiful. We wish you a lifetime of happiness!

Happy 1 Year Anniversary Thuy and Cuong!
Enjoy your honeymoon in Bora Bora! From all of the posts that I see on Instagram and Facebook, you guys are the sweetest and love each other so dearly!
This wedding was the start of the crazy 5 back to back weddings in a row for KDWP.
Gwenyth and Kevin are 2 wonderful loving people who made sure that all of their guests had a memorable day. It is by far the biggest and most beautiful wedding KDWP has worked on so far. It was one lavish extravagant wedding that we will never forget. I have to admit that it was quite challenging at times but we pulled it through even though we encountered some hiccups along the way. Gwenyth and Kevin booked my services about 1 month prior to the wedding. I was hesitant to accept the booking at first because it didn’t give me much time to prep before the wedding. I took on the last minute coordination after meeting with Gwenyth and Kevin and couldn’t refuse after they described to me the vision they had for their wedding day. I was really really nervous as the wedding day was looming closer, there was so much to do yet so little time left. Gwenyth and Kevin’s wedding definitely put my wedding expertise, planning and coordination to the test. I had to do a lot of quick thinking and relied on my team to work extremely fast. Poor Gwenyth and Kevin had a lot of headache too, their original photographer quit on them 1 week prior to the wedding. It was a mad rush to find a last minute photographer during peak wedding season. Luckily, a good friend of them stepped up to the plate to save the day. Big thanks to Allan Le Photography for working so hard and delivering amazing photos.

Beautiful Bride and Bridesmaids
After the tea ceremony at Gwenyth’s parents, we headed over to the groom’s parents for a 2nd tea ceremony.
The ladies working it.
I am absolutely in LOVE and obsessed with Gwen’s wedding gown! It was custom made and it looks gorgeous!
Married!!! Congratulations Gwenyth and Kevin!
Gwenyth and Kevin rented a mansion in Orange. It was the perfect place for bridal portraits.
Gorgeous Wedding Party!
I can’t get over Gwen’s dress! It was truly made for her. She looks absolutely stunning in it!
Meanwhile, at the reception, it was a mad rush to get everything set up.
500 place cards arrived freshly printed 1 hour prior to guest arrival. KDWP team had to tear, fold and line them up at the speed of light.
In LOVE with the flowers from Three Petals. It was orchids galore!
Bellevent did an excellent job with the video showed prior to the Wedding Party Grand Entrance! It looks like a movie straight out of Hollywood! Check it out! You’ll be blown away!
Kevin serenading his beautiful wife.
Yes, it was one of the most stressful night of my life but in the end, getting a hug from Gwen and Kevin to thank us for a great job we did meant the world to us. It made for all the running around, being behind schedule and resolving all of the hiccups worth it. Gwenyth and Kevin, thank you so much for letting my team and I be part of your beautiful wedding. You guys definitely know how to throw a party! We wish you many wonderful years of happiness together. Keep posting photos of the food you are eating in Vegas! I live vicariously through you.

Happy 1 Year Anniversary Trini and Phong!
What a year it has been! Congrats on the new house and I always salivate when you post pictures of food that you cook! On top of that, both of you are now also working in the wedding industry! Wishing you many more years of happiness and looking forward to bumping into the both of you at future weddings!
Last year I conducted a contest on Facebook to have Kelly Duprat Wedding Planner page hit 500 Likes (we were at about 425 likes). The winner would win a FREE day of coordination by yours truly. Many have entered the contest but I could see 1 particular bride who was hustling to get “likes” from family and friends. I couldn’t be happier that Mary and Hung won the contest, they were such a nice couple and their little boy is the cutest! Mary planned her wedding for a while and it turned out absolutely stunning!
As an added bonus, I got to work with Thao Vu Photography and 8 Kinds of Smiles, the nicest and easiest people to work with in the industry! It feels like we’re a big family when I get the chance to work along side them at weddings. Thank you to Thao Vu Photography for always providing gorgeous photos. Props to Thao and Katie B for coming right back to work after just giving birth! I know first hand how hard it is on your body!
Bride, Groom and wedding party got ready at the Langham Hotel in Pasadena.
Mary’s shoes! To DIE for!! I love my brides and their excellent taste!
Doesn’t Mary make one beautiful bride?
Prepping the beautiful bride prior to ceremony.
I love the rustic old feel of the San Gabriel Mission Church.
Sweet moment between a father and a daughter.
Thank you for the behind the scene photo Thao Vu!
Married!!! Congratulations Mary and Hung!
The garden behind the church was a great backdrop for photos.
Since the church ceremony was so early in the morning, we had the tea ceremony after it.
I transported these flowers from the church to the tea ceremony.
The wedding party took pictures at the Huntington Beach Park.
Meanwhile, at the reception…

Alvina and Daniel are young, sweet, loving and very dedicated to being Christians. In fact, with the help of friends, Daniel surprised Alvina with his proposal on Church grounds! This is the first wedding where I left early and entrusted my team to conduct the reception. They handled everything with class and professionalism. Kayla, KDWP lead coordinator, even helped the groom when he was uncomfortable during the reception because of the cramped space and guests surrounding him.
I had the pleasure to work with Steve Hoffmann of Hoffmann Photographer who captured beautiful images of the wedding.
The wedding party started at the Fullerton Arboretum for a First Look and portraits.
Daniel waiting to see his beautiful bride-to-be for the 1st time.
Doesn’t Daniel make a handsome groom?
I can’t get over how beautiful they make as a couple.
What a fun bridal party
While the wedding party was taking pictures, my team and I were setting up the ceremony site.
One of the candle holder broke during transportation so I had to use tape to stick everything together. I was so nervous the whole ceremony, afraid that the tape wouldn’t hold and the candle will be knocked off. Thankfully, everything held together.
Getting the bride ready before walking down the aisle.
It was such a sweet moment when Alvina sang and Daniel played piano during the ceremony. Very personable.
Married! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Choi!!!
After the ceremony in Costa Mesa, I drove to Rowland Heights for the reception. It was a bit stressful trying to seat guests as some unexpected guests showed up. Our team worked fast on accommodating every one of them in a very tight restaurant.
Prepping the bridal party for the Grand Entrance.
Alvina and Daniel, it was such a pleasure working for your special day. All the hard planning has paid off and everything looked amazing. Thank you so much for everything and we wish you many many blessed years of marriage.

Lanny and Richard had a gorgeous wedding on a sunny May day. Lanny and Richard are so cute together (and they are so tall too), they were a sweet loving couple and everyone had a great time at their wedding. Lanny hired me only for the reception part of the day since she didn’t need me in the morning for tea ceremony or church ceremony. However, I am including photos from the morning too since Carissa Woo photographed such beautiful pictures.
Married!!! Congratulations Lanny and Richard!
Lanny and her gorgeous dimples!
It was a very beautiful day at Laguna Beach for bridal portraits.
This is a big wedding party: 10 bridesmaids + 10 groomsmen!
Such a beautiful couple!
The flower backdrop was handmade by Lanny and Richard’s friends.
Richard and his groomsmen surprised Lanny with dance from Justin Timberlake’s song Suit and Tie.
Lanny, Richard and the bridesmaids strutted the wedding runway with a little fashion show from Cynthia Bui Collection.
Lam, Lanny’s brother, did an awesome job at MC’ing the whole night. He was so much fun to work with.
And the night ended on a high note with all of the guests partying on the dance floor.
Lanny and Richard. Thank you so very much for letting KDWP witness your beautiful wedding and trusting in us to work for you.
We cannot express how much it means to us. We wish both of you the best in everything and a lifetime of happiness.

Kathy and Paul are such a sweet couple. Kathy is very soft spoken and Paul adores and cares about her deeply. I could see it when I met with them a few times. Their wedding was sweet, simple and traditional. I actually loved that they incorporated a little bit of Japanese feel into their wedding. It was very refreshing working a wedding without all the frills and crazy setup. The wedding ended late afternoon and it was so odd to me that I didn’t even know what to do for the rest of the day.
Thank you to Linda Lewis Photography for providing the beautiful photos for me to recap.
While Kathy was getting ready, the little ring bearer was practicing his walk down the aisle.
This little ring bearer boy had a smile on his face all day long. He was such a sweetheart!
Married! Congratulations Kathy and Paul!
Love this little girl’s Kimono!
Kathy and Paul, thank you so much for having KDWP be a part of your wedding. You made us feel like we were part of your family the whole day. Everyone was so nice!
