I communicated with Rebecca via email several times before having a face to face meeting. Rebecca and Paul were going to have a small intimate backyard wedding which was the perfect setting for our Junior Coordinator, Ying. Ying stepped up to the plate and did a fantastic job. Thank you Jim Kennedy Photographers for the great pictures.
My initial meeting with Rebecca and Paul was set up by Kelly. I was excited that Rebecca and Paul trusted me, the junior coordinator, to be their day- of coordinator! I loved how easy- going and relaxed they both were planning, and during their wedding. Paul was patient with the planning and Rebecca was organized, which made the process seamless. There was 90% forecasted rain on their wedding day, and they both gracefully accepted the challenge from Mother Nature. I think I was more nervous than Rebecca, but I could not picture coordinating this wedding with any other bride, but Rebecca! She was the perfect bride that I would want to go through wedding weather challenges with. She bought rain boots, umbrellas and ordered extra tents in preparation, only to have slight drizzles. Paul was very supportive with all of Rebecca’s wedding plans. He was the perfect groom who listened and supported his lovely bride. The love they shared with friends and family during their wedding was overwhelming. They have so much love for God, their family and friends, which truly reflected during their reception. It was intimate, romantic, and the scheme was wonderful for Rebecca and Paul. I wish them the best forever and always.

This year truly has been an amazing year so far. Samira and Borzin’s wedding definitely proved how lucky we have been.
Samira has reached out to me a couple of times prior to the wedding but we never really set a date to meet until about 2 months before the wedding. When I first met Samira and Borzin, I found them to be genuine, personable and friendly, they are just a great couple all in all. As I conclude our initial meeting, I thought there was no way they will book me since I have never done a Persian wedding before and I’m not too familiar with the culture. Turns out they took their chance on me, gave me the opportunity to learn about the Persian culture and I would be able cross Vibiana off my venue wish list. I worked with them on various items leading up to the wedding so they could enjoy their day and help me coordinate a successful wedding. I was extremely nervous on the day of the wedding 1. I didn’t want to do a bad job since it is a new culture I was working with and 2. Dream Venue!
Samira and Borzin mentioned to me that Persian weddings involved a lot of eating, partying and dancing until the wee hours of the night and boy, did they deliver! Since the day was also Persian New Year, it was another good excuse to celebrate. The crowd was a bit hard to control at times but it was such a fun experience for our KDWP team. We are so thankful that the family, bridal party and guests embraced us and showed us what a Persian wedding is all about.
Thank you Navid Studio Photography for the beautiful pictures.
The wedding train was absolutely stunning and made for a princess like Samira. ❤ ❤ ❤
Can’t explain how stunning this venue looks. It’s just surreal for me that I had the chance to work here.
Samira and Borzin really know how to take care of their guests. They had an open bar, open sushi station and fruit/dessert station available all night! What a treat!
Samira and Borzin, I don’t know how to thank you enough for trusting in me and giving me the opportunity to work a Persian wedding. It was so much fun, eye opening and truly a blessing. I couldn’t have dreamed of a more perfect couple to experience this with. We hope you had as much fun as we did that night. We wish you all the best and happiness in this journey as husband and wife.

Happy 1 Year Anniversary Lea and Allan!
I received a call from Mai on Cecilia and David‘s wedding day for her wedding. At the time of the call, she said her wedding is 4 weeks away and she needed a coordinator. I told her that for her wedding size, I usually wouldn’t do it because it doesn’t give me much time to prepare. After exchanging a few words, we decided to meet the next day to discuss more. It turns out Mai’s sister and maid of honor is in the wedding industry, Sweet Events by Anh, and everything has been planned and ready to go. They just needed someone to be there on the day of to set everything up. After meeting with Mai and her sisters and seeing how sweet they all are, I decided to help them. I was a bit apprehensive leading up to the wedding because there was so many details to the wedding and I didn’t want to disappoint Mai and Anh.
It was a lot of work but I don’t regret one bit after seeing the end result, the wedding was just beautiful. I’m still in awe of how gorgeous everything turned out to be and I am glad I had a hand in helping Anh execute her vision of the wedding for her sister.
Mai has amazing tastes! Love all of the dresses!
Let’s not forget to spotlight the groom.
1st Tea ceremony.
On the way to the 2nd Tea Ceremony
Mai and Nham got married at Blessed Sacrament in Westminster where Mai’s parents got married 30 years ago to that day.
It was a very special moment witnessing Mai’s father walking her down the aisle.
It sprinkled a little bit after the ceremony but I am glad that the sky cleared up for their portraits.
Mai is truly a gorgeous bride.
So many intricate details went into the reception decoration. Anh and Mai’s vision was to turn the reception into a winter wonderland and they accomplished that. Better Choice Flower did an amazing work on flowers as well.
The dessert table was to die for! Anh really outdid herself on this one. It was exquisite and extraordinary!
Handmade sugar flowers and cake by Final Touch.
Custom Ao Dai by Thai Nguyen Atelier. Absolutely gorgeous!
Mai’s birthday was a couple of days later. Nham surprised Mai by singing Happy Birthday.
Here is the Same Day Edit from CoPro Studio that played at the reception.
Thank you Mai and Nham for allowing KDWP to be part of your Winter Wonderland wedding. It was definitely a wedding to remember! We wish you a lifetime of happiness and nothing but goodness in your journey as husband and wife.
Big thanks to Anh for taking a step back and trusting us to execute your vision. I know how hard it is sometimes to let go after months and months of planning. It is very humbling when another planner has faith in another planner/coordinator in the industry, we really appreciate it.

We celebrated 2016 in style with a fantastic wedding right after ringing in the New Year. Cecilia interned for KDWP a few years back but she was so busy with school and work that she decided not to pursue the field. I also think I scared her away from it since she saw how much work was involved when planning/coordinating a wedding. 🙂
Cecilia and David wanted a no frill, easy-going wedding to enjoy with their family and friends. When they contacted me to coordinate their wedding, I was a bit surprised since Cecilia knows a lot of coordinators (she interned for a few if I recall correctly) but I was more than happy to be part of their special day. I also had the pleasure of working with Trini and Phong, a past couple of ours, who now have become successful photographers. Thank you for the beautiful pictures Trini!
Cecilia was a stunning bride and she made it look so easy.
Love Cecilia’s dimples!
Adorable little flower girl.
Married! Congratulations David and Cecilia!
David and Cecilia are outdoorsy people so having the wedding on the water in Newport Beach was just the perfect setting for them.
These place cards were quite a challenge to line and stand them up.
Meanwhile, KDWP set the dessert table. Yummy pastries from Porto’s.
I became the photographer’s lighting assistant too. 🙂
Cecilia and David surprised David’s parents since it was their wedding anniversary…
….and Cecilia’s cousin since it was his birthday.
Love David and his mom dancing together.
Cecilia’s mother gifted Cecilia with her original baby onesie. Do you see where Cecilia gets her looks from?
Thank you Cecilia and David for letting us start the New Year on a high note. It was truly a pleasure being part of the wedding festivities. Wishing you a lifetime of happiness!

Wrapping our events in 2015 and saving the best for last! Our very own KDWP team member got married! I’ve known Lily since she was 17 years old and when she started dating Gordon, I was beyond happy that she found a great guy! When Gordon and Lily got engaged, the first thing I said after congratulating them was I can only wear 1 hat at their wedding and I want to enjoy it. Gordon was mostly doing the planning so it was interesting getting a guy’s perspective on the whole thing.
I have to give credit to my dear friend Lily on being there with me from the beginning of KDWP. If it weren’t for her encouragement, support, help and belief in me, I wouldn’t have been able to grow the company where it is today. It was just the 2 of us when we started 7 years ago and I have no idea how we pulled it off doing weddings just the 2 of us then. Now, we have a whole team who she has trained and dedicated her time to. I have to say, she is my right hand in growing the business. I have to thank Gordon too for sacrificing his time with her and allowing Lily to work with me on the weekends. Gordon and Lily are a couple who you can truly count on and they compliment each other in so many ways. I can’t express how grateful I am to have them as my friends and couldn’t be happier that they had a blast at their wedding.
Gordon and Lily decided to have their 1st look at Newport Beach Winery and Vineyard. The venue provided wine tasting and lunch for the whole bridal party.
Incorporating Gordon’s love of Hockey.
Lily was a beautiful Grecian Goddess in her wedding dress.
Gordon and Lily opted to say their vows privately.
