Kelly Duprat – THE BOSS
(I wear too many hats to list them all)

I was born and raised in New Caledonia (a French territory). Don’t be fooled by my name, I look very much Asian (Vietnamese/French to be exact). I have a bachelor and a master degree from Cal State Fullerton. I currently work full time but found that I have a passion for weddings and pursued the passion in 2009. I took some online courses and with hands on experience, I became a Certified Wedding Planner. The past few years have been a blessing for my company with working beautiful weddings for amazing clients. I’ve expanded the team and recruited Jr. Coordinators along with assistants and interns to help with our growing business. It is a challenge juggling a full time job, being a wife, mother and being present for our clients planning and coordinating their wedding. However, I found it to be very soothing for me as it is my me-time in a way. I look forward to building more relationships with clients, seeing their vision come to life on their wedding day and receiving those big bear hugs from the couple at the end of a wedding.

I am a spontaneous person and I try to live every moment to the fullest. Most of my friends will say I’m a ball of fun or crazy for being everywhere and working three jobs! However, that never stops me from spending time with those that I love and support me through it all. Being there from the beginning when Kelly started the business is so humbling. My favorite part is when the parents express their appreciation. It reaffirms the rewarding aspect of wedding planning! Established in 2009, I helped Kelly at almost every weddings. For the next few years, I have helped good friends plan and coordinate their weddings pro-bono. I realized that this is something I needed in my life. It was a skill I could share! The last wedding I planned was in Costa Rica as the state-side planner. It was such an amazing experience! I hope to gain more experience and grow as destination wedding planner.

Christine Luong – Associate Coordinator

My career path has changed multiple times, but I have found my passion in event planning. I have a full time job working in a park at the City of Irvine, planning their programs and special events. My strength is in my creativity and organization. I sell handmade greeting cards and love making party decorations. My two favorite stores are Target and Michaels. I got into wedding planning in 2008 and fell in love with the people and the process. I love the little details that couples put into their wedding and am honored to be the one to bring their vision to life. I have worked with KDWP as a Junior Coordinator since 2014 providing timeline planning and day-of coordination. I look forward to doing more weddings, to being inspired, and to creating experiences that are unforgettable.

Ying Voong – Jr. Coordinator

You are most likely going to find me DIY-ing something, baking a kitchen full of cupcakes, hiking during the weekends or adventure hunting somewhere on my free time.  I enjoy the outdoors and catching all the sunlight I can during the summer. I would plan social events on the side for friends and always hosting events for friends. I always had to  plan themed  parties and events. You’ll also find me at the Marriott working as an Event Specialist on the weekdays and hopefully working weddings with Kelly on the weekends. 🙂 Weddings are special lifetime events that I love being part of. I simply love… LOVE. Just 2 people loving each other and committed to each other for a lifetime is an amazing thing in life. I love planning, organizing and creating someone’s dream into reality. I like to hear about people’s plan and ideals and manipulating it into their special day!  I get joy from couple’s reaction after their wedding day and I love it when I am able to make them happy. I started with Kelly Duprat Wedding Planner May 2013 as an intern. I was at a difficult place with my career as I was trying to figure things out and trying different things I thought I wanted to do.  This was a great opportunity given to me and I never looked back. I never questioned my role on this team because everyone is supportive and caring. I was curious about Weddings and how everything came into fruition. I started assisting only during receptions, to doing both ceremonies and receptions and then following Kelly to planning meetings. I became one of Kelly’s Junior Coordinator and many opportunities has come from that. Kelly never limited my abilities, but only help me capitalize on my strengths and grow my weakness. She guided me for 4 years and she continues to let me learn and grow in her fabulous company.

Winnie Ing – Jr. Coordinator

Hi, my name is Winnie and let me start out by saying I am truly in love with love and creating happiness.  I guess that’s why I love what I do and have a true passion for the events industry.  I believe when it comes to your BIG DAY or even any SPECIAL EVENT in your life it is important to make sure that everything runs smoothly, on-time, and most-importantly that you have FUN!I have worked with both Kelly and independently on weddings for several years now. I’ve worked with her from “intern” to “junior coordinator” since 2012 and have learned and experienced much throughout my time. We have a wonderful team that supports one another, as well as, works really well together. Having a strong, stable team makes all the difference when the big day comes. And when it comes to your special day we all couldn’t be more thrilled to help you bring your vision to life.
