Nicole and Zach’s Wedding 8.19.18

Nicole and Zach contacted us back in 2017 to coordinate their wedding then but the wedding date moved to 2018. We were more than happy to accommodate the date change as we still have a few dates opened. They also decided to have a more intimate wedding which was absolutely beautiful.

From Associate Coordinator, Christine:

Nicole and Zach had a sweet intimate wedding with their closest families and friends. They started the day with a First Look at Zach’s beautiful home. I could tell they were both nervous, but excited to see each other. Nicole looked stunning in her gown as she walked up to meet Zach. Their ceremony was held at Temple Bat Yahm in Newport Beach. The temple had a beautiful garden area which had the perfect setting for a ceremony entrance. Following the ceremony, the wedding party and guests headed to Selanne Steak Tavern in Laguna Beach. The restaurant hosted cocktail hour upstairs with a view of the ocean. There the couple shared their first dance. They actually took dance lessons and did a fantastic job! Dinner was held in the Veranda and Library. It was intimate and cozy, but you still caught the nice breeze of the ocean. What I loved about this wedding was how simple yet personal it was. They had a guitarist to set the mood with light music and Zach’s mom had a surprise bag of goodies like bubbles, light up rings, and sparklers for guests to enjoy. The couple had a beautiful send-off with their loved ones surrounding them. It was a pleasure and an honor to be their day-of coordinator. Nicole and Zach are a down to earth couple who have a great core group of people who love and support them. I wish them all the best in their journey together as husband and wife!

All the feels!!!

Zach waited so long to marry the love of his life Nicole. It was definitely an emotional 1st look.

Ketubah signing.

Nicole is stunning!

Because the reception location was too small, Nicole and Zach opted to do their 1st dance as Husband and Wife during cocktail.

Thank you Nicole and Zach for trusting my team and I on the wedding planning journey. It was so great getting to know the both of you and we wish you a lifetime of happiness! Mazel Tov!

Tiffany and Craig’s Wedding 8.18.18

August 18, 2018 was quite the popular date! I turned down a handful of weddings for that date. Tiffany booked our services 1 year in advance knowing that this date was going to be a popular one. Some of you might be familiar with Tiffany, she’s been the wedding coordinator at the former St. Callistus and now Christ Cathedral. She was my wedding Church Coordinator back in 2011. Having Tiffany reach out to me for her wedding was a blessing and honor as she has worked with a lot of wedding planners and coordinators in Orange County.

Tiffany and Craig actually met at a wedding that Tiffany was coordinating at the church. Craig was one of the groomsman and he made his move on Tiffany. It was just fate that they met at the church and are now married.

Tiffany worked with a lot of priests in the Catholic Church so there was about 10 priests in attendance at the wedding.

Can you believe that all of Tiffany’s bridesmaids are her nieces?

Chinese people say that the number “8” is a lucky number, unfortunately for us, there was a lot of hiccups that we needed to jump through on that particular day. Among many problems we encountered, the hotel was under construction so they did not let us have the fog machine during the 1st dance at the last minute even though we cleared everything with them prior. The dance floor vendor’s car broke down near San Bernardino so they arrived 30 min before doors were to be opened for reception and they brought the incorrect floor decal. Guests kept knocking down the candles walkway that Tiffany really wanted to have. To top it all off, valet couldn’t find one of the bridesmaid’s car keys at the end of the night. Lots of things were out of our control at times and we had to do a lot of damage control but we made sure that everything went down without stressing Tiffany and Craig. They were great troopers and didn’t let any of these “hiccups” damper their joyous day as we updated them as much as possible.

The wedding ended up being beautiful and no one really noticed the behind-the-scenes. That’s what we are here for 🙂

Thank you Tiffany and Craig for being such a great understanding couple! It sure was a day to remember! We can’t thank you enough for everything and for trusting our team to carry out your wedding day vision. We wish you all the best and a lifetime of happiness!

Victoria and Aneesh’s Wedding 6.23.18

When Victoria and Aneesh booked our services for partial planning, they only had a date in mind but no location yet. We had about 5 months to plan, booking a couple more vendors and finding the location for them as venues get booked up fairly fast in the summer. We looked at several locations and they decided to have their wedding at the Marriott Fullerton. I’m glad everything worked even though we hit a few snags along the way. Victoria and Aneesh opted for a tea ceremony and a traditional Indian ceremony. I love when cultures blend!

Love the vibrant colors of the Indian Ceremony.

Leslie and Claude’s Wedding 5.19.18

Leslie and Claude are family on my husband side. When they got engaged, I expected Leslie to call me to discuss wedding planning but she was hesitant so I pressed her to do so. I was more than happy to help out and be part of their wedding planning journey. I’m so happy to see them tie the knot after so many years together!

From Lily, Associate Coordinator:

Leslie and Claude were so much fun to work with! They wanted it to be a special day, not just for them, but for their families to celebrate their matrimony. It was a very emotional day for everyone. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the entire wedding party cry before during rehearsal! You could tell everyone had been waiting a long time for them to share their vows. At the start of their wedding day, it was so laid back, just like they wanted. The location and venue was beautiful! We walked along the train tracks and visited Old Town San Juan Capistrano. At the reception, Claude was tricked into thinking Leslie had a dress change. He was pleasantly surprised when the bridal party started a dance performance, just for him! There was so much love in that room. I’m so happy for you both and I hope you have many more years of happiness!!

I love these sweet mother daughter moments.

If this doesn’t make you cry…

Family Blending!

They make a great family! So much fun and silliness!

Leslie and Claude, we are so happy that you trusted us to be part of your wedding day and welcoming us into your family. It was such a heartfelt moment seeing the 2 of you blend your family.

We love you and we wish you a lifetime of happiness!

Liza and Hoang’s Wedding 4.14.18

Liza and Hoang’s Wedding 4.14.18

Liza and Hoang were referred by a good friend of ours who used to be part of the KDWP team (thanks Kayla!). It turns out that Liza is Christopher‘s sister who we coordinated the wedding in September of 2016. I really enjoy working weddings within families because I get to see faces that I recognize and see the family expand.

Liza and Hoang wanted a simple wedding with no frills. Their main concern was to have a good time with their family and friends.

1st Look Anticipation

Before all the festivities began, Liza and Hoang opted to do a quick tea ceremony with immediate family.
