Karissa and Michael’s Wedding 10.28.17

Karissa and Michael live in New York City but wanted to have their wedding in California since most of their families live here. They hired me for partial planning as they have planned about 50% of their wedding. This is where I come in with my other 50% expertise helping them with final vendors, and connecting everything together. Michael and Karissa are super detailed and love spreadsheets, one of which consists of a long list of “to-do” leading up to their wedding day. We had constant communication and they were not afraid of emailing me with questions or ideas on how to pull the perfect wedding that they envisioned.

Michael cannot hide his excitement at the sight of his bride!

So in love!

Michael’s parents are the sweetest and so much fun!

When at a Filipino wedding, lechon is a MUST!

Michael and his mother choreographed a super cute mother/son dance.

Karissa + Michael, I cannot thank you enough for trusting me from the East Coast to take the reign on your wedding. It was a pleasure planning the wedding and making your vision come true. We wish you nothing but happiness and a lifetime of love, laughter and food adventure together.

Diem and Joseph’s Wedding 10.7.17

75% of the weddings we do are through word of mouth, mainly referrals from past couples. We can’t thank everyone enough for referring us, keeping us employed and doing what we love. 🙂

In this particular case, my past bride Shari absolutely wanted Diem and Joseph to hire me for their wedding and even offered to pay a portion of my service as a gift to the couple. Isn’t Shari the greatest friend ever??? She contacted me a year out from their wedding date, I was on vacation out of country (the irony is that I was trying to take a break from all the weddings since I was working so much lol) but we ended up working something out so I could be part of Diem and Joseph’s wedding.

I actually have met Diem and Joseph at Shari and Jay’s wedding and I knew how talented she is. I have to say that I am very glad I was involved in their wedding because I have the most talented, kind-hearted clients. Try to stay until the end of the blog, I have a little treat for everyone to showcase how talented Diem is.

Diem’s beautiful wedding dress was designed and made by the talented Jacky Tai

Diem is absolutely stunning! Did I mention that she was Miss Vietnam Southern California 2015???

The details on that wedding gown! ❤

Such a good looking couple!

After 8 years of being a wedding planner and countless weddings under my belt, you’d think I have done it all. Diem challenged me to decorate her cake with fresh flowers. I didn’t tell her at the time that this would be my 1st time doing it and it turned out great, I might say. Although, I was shaking the whole time I inserted each flower on the cake. 😀

We’re pros now at hanging couple’s initials on hedges.
