Jillian + Johnny’s Wedding 9.17.16

I couldn’t be more proud of my team and our Jr. Coordinator Winnie for pulling this beautiful wedding for Jillian and Johnny.

From Winnie:

On the way to my initial meeting with Kelly and Jillian, I thought to myself I went to high school with someone with the same name but figured it couldn’t be her.  But as it turned out it was indeed her. Since I already knew Jillian it made things a little easier.

On the day of Jillian and Johnny’s wedding, we arrived at the newly built beach front Pasea hotel. We came while they were finishing up getting ready and about to take photos so that we could check in on them and see if there was anything else they needed and help the bridal party get situated.

As they headed out to take their photos, we began setup and to check for everything. Luckily we arrived early as there were a few things we found needed to be taken care of. Since the hotel is new there were still a few kinks that had to be worked out. Unfortunately their policy on drones was still being fine-tuned and an issue with the drone being used was brought up with the security team. Although everything was hashed out, the videographers were unable to use any close shots above the hotel itself. However, that didn’t stop the amazing Encor team from capturing a spectacular video! There was also a bit of miscommunication with a cash bar being setup for the reception. Somehow it was lost in translation so it needed to be setup last minute. The Pasea on-site staff and tech team did an awesome job working with us to pull it off just in time for everything to begin. Although the day started with a few issues, the rest of the wedding was able to continue smoothly.

The ceremony took place outdoors in front of the beautiful Pacific Ocean. The winds died down just enough during the ceremony so that the outdoor floral arrangements didn’t topple over. Mother Nature definitely had perfect timing. It was accompanied by a beautiful harpist that played throughout while the sun slowly began to set.

As the ceremony concluded the floor-to-ceiling glass windows opened up the cocktail area to create an open area with the outside. Guests were able to enjoy the outside scenery and easily flow from inside and out during cocktail hour. As the guests enjoyed themselves we flipped all the chairs from the outside ceremony into the reception hall. Once the reception was ready to begin the newly married couple was met by a young and vibrant crowd as they entered. The rest of the night was very lively and full of guests having a vibrant time.
