Jessie and Harold live in Texas but wanted to have their wedding in California. Jessie’s parents and siblings live in Las Vegas but she has some family in So Cal. They reached out to me about 1 year from the wedding date looking for full planning. I only seldomly take full on wedding planning since I work full time, take care of my boys (at the time my youngest was barely 5 months old) and I have my hands full with keeping a business. Full wedding planning requires a lot of commitment and I only accept them if I have time to work on it so I can dedicate myself to the couple. In this case, we had a whole year to plan, execute and bring Jessie and Harold’s wedding vision to life so I felt confident to take this on. Plus, Jessie and Harold are the sweetest, most soft spoken couple I have known so it was a bonus for me.
With planning a wedding A to Z, it doesn’t mean that I do not involve the bride and groom. A lot of our communication was done through email, text messaging, phone calls throughout the whole process. I need to get the couple’s opinion on any suggestion that I make and what I envision for their wedding. It is their wedding after all and they are paying for it so getting their approval was an important aspect of the planning journey. In addition, I got to know the clients better with their likes and dislikes and we formed a great friendship bond. I do miss my couple when the wedding ends after spending a whole year talking to them weekly.
Jessie and Harold took 1 trip out to CA and we hit all of the venues that were in their budget (in 1 day, I think we saw about 4-5 venues). At the end they chose the Villa in Westminster as their wedding ceremony and reception. For the vendors, we went back and forth with a few but they ended up booking all the ones that I recommended and I am so happy that they did!. It makes it so much easier to work with professionals in the business.
After a whole year of planning, it’s definitely a relief to see all of the hard work come to fruition. However, the most rewarding feeling for me was to see Jessie, Harold and their family enjoy the wedding and complimenting on how beautiful everything was. I can’t take all of the credit though, it takes a whole team of wedding vendors to make the couple vision come to life.

Love working with Kortney! She has an amazing bubbly personality and you can’t help but laugh all day with her. She’s the sweetest!
While planning the wedding, Alex reached out to me to see if we had any weddings in the works. I usually don’t like to work with vendors I have not worked with when I plan a full wedding. In this case, I took a chance, looked at Alex’s previous work and he was very good! Bonus points when he responds to emails promptly! I’m so glad that we ended booking Alex for Jessie and Harold’s wedding. His work truly captured the essence of the wedding.
Jessie and Harold – I miss you guys! We had so much fun planning the wedding and bouncing off ideas back and forth. I’m so glad I was part of this journey with you! Thank you for trusting me and letting me execute your dream wedding! I am so happy for the both of you and I wish you a lifetime of happiness and nothing but the best of everything!
