Clarice + John’s Wedding 8.21.21

I had such a pleasure planning Clarice and John’s wedding. On our 1st meeting, we totally hit it off. I understood that they needed eyes and ears here while they were busy and stationed in Hawaii. They needed a planner who would have their back. Derailed by the pandemic, instead of having the wedding in August of 2020, we ended up pushing it to August of 2021. Almost 2.5 year of planning and getting to know this lovely couple (definitely my favorite part). We kept in touch throughout and I wanted to make sure that they would have a wedding to remember. We worked on all of the details ahead of time so it was just a matter of waiting until it was closer to finalize everything.

To sweeten the pot, their family treated me like I was one of them so it wasn’t difficult to feel like I was part of the extended family. Even though the wedding was pushed, it didn’t stop them from delaying their goals and starting a family. Since Clarice was pregnant, I needed to make sure that she was comfortable and scheduling bathroom breaks throughout the wedding day.

Clarice and John used to live in Japan so Cherry Blossoms were incorporated throughout their wedding.

Most of the time I would help dress the bride so the bridesmaids can get ready. I’ve seen it all, so future clients of mine, don’t be shy!

Clarice’s mother was so emotional throughout the day. First child’s wedding is always a tear-jerker.

After 2.5 years of planning, it was so worth it seeing their reaction to the ballroom.
