Diana + Tony’s wedding 9.4.15

Diana and Tony’s wedding ranks as one of my top 5 favorite weddings that I’ve had the honor to coordinate. I don’t take a lot of Friday weddings (since I have a full time job too) but when I do it’s because the couple is special to me. I’ve known Tony through Thao and Robert’s wedding back in 2010 as he was their groomsmen. When Tony and Diana contacted me to use my services for their wedding, it was such a treat for me because 1. they know a lot of people in the business and for them to hire me was truly an honor; 2. I knew their wedding would look beautiful because their taste is impeccable and 3. I would get to see a lot of familiar faces and it’s always a pleasure seeing all the people I’m friends with on Facebook and Instagram 🙂

The Tea Ceremony followed the Church Ceremony.

I tell all my clients not to worry about the order of events and to make things work for them. It is THEIR wedding day after all and as long as they incorporate some tradition into the wedding day, all is fine.

Moments before entering the Tea Ceremony, I sewed a button on a groomsman jacket. I made it just in time!

Did I mention how much I love this wedding??? Swooning over everything! The details, D.I.Y, rustic look, flowers by Pink, The Little Flower Shop! I mean how can you not??

I remember how we had a hard time making the place cards stay into the slots of the branches. We ended up using glue to make them hold in place. No straightening the place cards either, it makes it look more natural and rustic. Totally in line with the feel and decorations of the wedding.

After the cake cutting, Diana and Tony got all of their guests participating in a music video which would be filmed in just 1 shot! I was nervous the whole time but it was pulled out beautifully.
