Wrapping our events in 2015 and saving the best for last! Our very own KDWP team member got married! I’ve known Lily since she was 17 years old and when she started dating Gordon, I was beyond happy that she found a great guy! When Gordon and Lily got engaged, the first thing I said after congratulating them was I can only wear 1 hat at their wedding and I want to enjoy it. Gordon was mostly doing the planning so it was interesting getting a guy’s perspective on the whole thing.
I have to give credit to my dear friend Lily on being there with me from the beginning of KDWP. If it weren’t for her encouragement, support, help and belief in me, I wouldn’t have been able to grow the company where it is today. It was just the 2 of us when we started 7 years ago and I have no idea how we pulled it off doing weddings just the 2 of us then. Now, we have a whole team who she has trained and dedicated her time to. I have to say, she is my right hand in growing the business. I have to thank Gordon too for sacrificing his time with her and allowing Lily to work with me on the weekends. Gordon and Lily are a couple who you can truly count on and they compliment each other in so many ways. I can’t express how grateful I am to have them as my friends and couldn’t be happier that they had a blast at their wedding.
Gordon and Lily decided to have their 1st look at Newport Beach Winery and Vineyard. The venue provided wine tasting and lunch for the whole bridal party.
Incorporating Gordon’s love of Hockey.
Lily was a beautiful Grecian Goddess in her wedding dress.
Gordon and Lily opted to say their vows privately.
The bridesmaids.
The Groomsmen and Groomswoman.
Lily is Riley’s Godmother so he was the ring bearer that day.
Meanwhile during the ceremony, our team set up the reception.
Popcorn Bar.
Our family with the bride and groom.
Doing what I do best at weddings. Feeding my couple.
So for the Grand Entrance, Gordon and Lily wanted to do a 1 shot music video with all of the guests. Since I experienced and coordinated the one from Diana and Tony’s wedding the month before, I coached them on how it should go. Here I am with our KDWP team going over how everything should go to make the video a smooth transition.
With the music video behind us, it was time for their 1st dance.
Cake cutting.
Gosh, I can’t believe I’ve known these 2 crazy sisters for almost 15 years now. All the memories we’ve made together are priceless. I know I can always count on them to be truthful and a shoulder to lean on. Jenny’s Maid of Honor speech had me laughing and in tears.
Oops….photobombed the bride.
When it was time to put the garter on, it was nowhere to be found so I had to make a last minute D.I.Y garter with a broken bridesmaid’s necklace. Lily and I quick thinking saved the day lol
This little guy was a party animal and loved dancing with his Marraine Lily.
Here is the wedding highlight of the perfect day.
Our Team KDWP! Congratulations Lily and Gordon! Our bestest wishes, happiness and nothing but love for you guys!
